Tri-State Equine Riding Team with NJ Blues Musician Plainfield Slim 8/5/11

The Tri-State Equine Riding Team returns with live music from New Jersey musician
Plainfield Slim & The Groundhawgs.

After their great success last year at the Warren County Farmer Fair, the riding team volunteers in coming back to the fair with live music and new horse demo routines. With talents from different gaited horses from Latin America including Peru and the northern part of the globe Iceland and North America; a new show has been designed for you. The team’s captain Monique Grimme said: “This is our 8thyear and each year we do more and more, we have added the mystic of the gaited horse and we are bringing two clowns Bonky G. Bird and Quty the Clown”. With live music from International Blues recording artist Plainfield Slim, riders will show their riding routines on Friday night August 5th 7:00 PM in the Horse Ring at the Warren County Farmers Fair in Harmony, NJ.





This year’s riding members are: riding Captain Monique Grimme with her Mountain Pleasure Horse Boomer. Equine professional dressage trainer Suzanne Marshall & Nancy Himmelblau from Patewood Farm in Blairstown will present their Iberian horses; Andalusian and/ or Lusitanos with dressage. Torey Mather from Sleepy Hollow Farm, New Egypt, NJ will present her Peruvian horse in authentic riding costume and tack from Peru. Brian R. Campbell from Smoke Hollow Farm in Pittstown, NJ will present Western style riding with his the American Saddlebred. Michelle Sisolack from Gracefield Farm, Stewartsville, NJ, who scored #20 in the World with Barrel racing in 2010, will show her American Quarter and her excellent horsemanship training skills. Rodeo Barbie aka Denise A Dabinett from Pokey’s Place will present “911” the Rescue horse Curly, the little horse that was rescued in 2010 from slaughter.





To make the team complete of International riders and horses, Icelandic horses are presented by Regina Berrish & Anna Owen from Tolt Farm in Whitehouse Station, NJ.











The live music is lead by award winning songwriter and guitarist Gar Francis his band members include Lee Fink (from Nasty Ned and the Famous Chili Dogs) on slide guitar, from the legendary 60’s rock band the Doughboys Myke Scavone on harp and Mike Caruso on bass. You will find Myke’s little brother Rocco Scavone on drums. Together with the Tri-State Riding team they will put on a great lively show in the horse ring. The stage is provided by Mike’s Auto Body Shop and Towing in Washington, NJ and our MC that night is going to be radio DJ Roger Gary from “The T.G.I.F. Show” on 89.7FM and 91.9FM WDVR. The songs that the team has chosen will compliment their horses’ abilities and demonstrates, in an entertaining way the different styles of horseback riding to the audience. The show will start with our National Anthem by rock star singer Myke Scavone that you all know from the band Ram Jam (Black Betty) and the legendary 60’s Garage band The Doughboys. We hope to see you all Friday August 5 at 7:00pm at the fair.
